Fetch data from websites using XPATH and PHP

xpath and PHPThis video is around XPATH and PHP. XPath is an element in the XSLT standard. I Over here our matter of interest is to use XPATH with PHP server scripting language to fetch some required information from websites, like youtube subscriber count, twitter followers etc. So if you are interested in making something like live facebook or twitter follower counters you can use it to do the job. You can upload the script to an online server or you can use it on your local server or you can even store the file to the raspberry pi server. And if you are new to server and PHP you can check out my earlier videos on Making a raspberry pi server or installing XAMPP on your PC for which I have provided the links down below in the description. After putting the script to the server you just need to call the page to fetch the required data. You can do so from any browser or even if any microcontrollers. BMP180 Interfacing with Arduino | In Depth

BMP180This video is all about interfacing BMP180 module with Arduino. BMP180 will help us to measure environmental temperature and pressure and by using that we can calculate the altitude which can be used in various applications like weather monitoring, navigation etc. The BMP180 sensor module comes with the I2C interface and with a default address 0x77 which is not configurable limiting stacking of multiple modules to that same I2C bus. In this tutorial, we will interface the module with Arduino by using I2C interface that is analog input pin A4 and A5. And for this, we are not going to use any library although if you are interested you can use any library available online which are actually pretty easy to use. Interfacing the module without any library will help us learn how it works as well as we can interface to other devices also where libraries are not available.

IIC (I2C) Communication on Raspberry Pi by using JAVA

This tutorial is all about IIC (I2C) communication on Raspberry Pi by using JAVA and for that, I have used Pi4J library. To demonstrate this in the tutorial I have used MCP23017 Port expander IC with Raspberry Pi. MCp23017 is a 16 Bit input/output Port Expander ICcomes with I2C Interface. To interact with the IC suing IIC (I2C) port  here we have used Pi4J and JAVA.

Measure Distance using Ultrasonic Sensor HC – SR04 | Pi4J | JAVA | Raspberry Pi

HC - SR04This is a simple tutorial showing how to interface HC – SR04  ultrasonic ranging module with Raspberry Pi to measure distance using JAVA. Ultrasonic ranging module HC – SR04 provides 2cm – 400cm non-contact measurement function, the ranging accuracy can reach to 3mm. The modules include ultrasonic transmitters, receiver and control circuit. The basic principle of work:

(1) Using IO trigger for at least 10us high-level signal,
(2) The Module automatically sends eight 40 kHz and detect whether there is a
pulse signal back.
(3) IF the signal back, through high level, time of high output IO duration is the time from sending ultrasonic to returning.
